Process Diary
I took the bike and the person and pulled the colour out of both until they were the same material, then put the violet over the top so the machine could stop being a machine. The body in the middle is already half gone — skin cooled to blue, one side catching a red light that is not coming from anywhere in the frame. The lower right still has the ghost of the flames, kept faint, because I did not want them to be decoration. The words went on last, in a script that glows yellow with a pink bleed around it, the way a sign looks when you have been staring at it too long at night. It is an invitation and it is also the thing the dark says back to you. LIVE DELICIOUSLY, directly across the chest, so you cannot look at the figure without reading it first. That was the edit: put the sentence in front of the person and let them disappear behind it.
