Process Diary
I drew this the night I finally said it out loud: "I can't do this anymore." And the answer came back, from somewhere quieter than the panic: "That's okay, let me." The figure on the ground is me at the bottom of it. The one made of light is also me, the part that had been waiting all along to be asked. I gave them the violet glow because it is the color of the self you don't yet trust. The single blue tear is the last one, not the first. The hands meeting in the middle is the whole point of the piece — no one else is coming. You reach down into your own dark and you let yourself up.
