Process Diary
Shot in a parking lot an hour before the light gave out, with the sun directly behind so the whole thing would silhouette. I wanted the machine to look like something that had been left behind on purpose — waiting, not abandoned. The palms did the rest. I toned the print warm until the chrome stopped looking like metal and started looking like memory. The flare across the tank is real; I did not add it. Golden hour is the only hour that lies kindly, and I let it.
